Everything's here, North of Orlando
Historic downtown Sanford is burgeoning as the cultural Mecca of central Florida. It hosts a growing number of restaurants, eclectic shops, and breweries. You can stroll along the riverwalk, shop, and then enjoy an excellent meal.
The SunRail commuter rail system runs from DeBary to downtown Orlando. It features 12 stations over the course of its 30+ mile run. It’s easy to hop on the SunRail and travel to downtown Orlando without having to worry about the hassles of highway traffic and downtown parking. Expansion plans include a station at the Orlando International Airport.
Seminole/Volusia counties host over 80 miles of scenic bicycle trails. You can often spot wildlife foraging on the trails during early hours of the day. The Florida cost-to-coast trail will be completed next year, and ranges from Titusville to St. Petersburg. This Trail will connect to the Cross Seminole Trail and connect Sanford, Lake Mary, Heathrow and Altamonte Springs before entering north Orange County. We will also have a spur named the Spring to spring Trail” which will run from downtown Sanford to Gemini Springs in Debary. From there it will connect to Blue Springs State Park in Orange City, and Deleon Springs State Park just north of Deland.
